Engineering Assistant, Kilmelford
Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Marine Mechanic for our operations in Argyll. This is a job providing fantastic variety and a huge scope for learning and growth, as our fish farms rely on a wide range of equipment to ensure the successful production of our Steelhead Trout.
Our key assets to be maintained include 8-22 metre vessels, a fleet of vehicles, forklifts, harvesting systems, knuckle boom cranes and feed barges. A focus of the engineering department is preventative maintenance, to ensure safe farming operations and minimise equipment downtime.
An interest in and knowledge of basic mechanics is required, but formal training and will be provided. Applicants with certificates and training in workshop equipment will be at an advantage. A hard-working ethos and being a good team player is a must.

The Detail:
We offer an excellent financial package depending on experience, with a salary of £24,960 to £33,280.
Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with a 1 in 3 weekend rota. We offer a bonus scheme, pension, training and birthday off.
